driveway rage

Yesterday, my car was perfectly parked on the side the driveway and my roommate backed her car and hit & left some stratch marks on the car and just left without letting me know. My boyfriend , Shibby saw the whole thing because he has to back up his car so the roommate can back out. When she got home and we confirmed her, she said she knew she hit the car. I was like WTF she left without letting me know but good thing Shibby saw the whole thing. Anyways, she got really outraged and mad about it when we told her we are expecting her to pay for it. Now she is forcing her boyfriend to make me pay for the damages that I did to his car which was over two months ago. We talked about it before and dropped it so seems like it was unnecessary to fix his car because it was already damaged from the rust before I hit it. What do you think I should do? Is she being immature?

Well, it's up to you.. and Personally I don't wanna be involved okay?

my ideas.. If i were in your shoes.. I would explain nicely " Could you please pay for the damage for what u did to my car.. otherwise if u don't want to pay for the damage u can give me ur insurance card and we can do it.. but the negative thing if u give me ur insurance is ur insurance preminum will go up. up to you u have 2 choice"
 
Persoanlly if i would hit someone's car, the owner would be informed right away. anyways

I forsee a little problem here..your friend hit your car and you are asking money from her. Making her bring in the past of you hitting her man's car makes it quite sticky.

2 options.

1. If your friend pays up...you gotta do the same for her man's car

2. Since the dude did let you go without paying...you might as well do the same.

Now then, I don't know how much of a damage you (to the other car) and that person (to your car), unforunely i cannot be much of a help except for those 2 options i gave you.

i for one disagree with alla round,.....

since the dude said drop the money all around. then ur best off dropping it, question urself to this, is it really worth paying for a car thats made of metal? 2ndly the money that u want is not that issue its abt, respect, all u had to say to ur roommate was, i would have apperticated it if u had informed me that u hit my car, or asked my bf or whoever saw the incident that an accident happened and u would let them know how it happened at a later time, if it was very serious to a point a flat tire came abt and damaged windows ofc U GOTTA pay for that, but small dent and stractches are part of daily life, ur better off just dropping it and hint a warning to next time inform right away and not walk away honesty will be best served than being an ass!
 
I think the best thing to do regarding the situation you (AquaMaiden) are currently in -- is not make it all the worse as she's your roommate. Try to sit down and have a good talk about it and see if it can be resolved in a mannerly way.

Bowak is right. I suggest everyone involved is told the full story about all the incidents related to this. That way, you all will have a better understanding of what is going on. Perhaps, a solution could be brought up and this issue get resolved.
