I don't know if in America you are allowed to drink on long train trips but here in uk you can buy it in buffet 7am onwards..I hate it and it iniminating.my husband just had two half hours on train from north London football match and if you traveling in your football team colours you got problems if drunks on train and there were many of them on this train..I usually walk off to another carrage. There should be law that if on train there were marshals who boot drunks off,the tickets cost enough so earn ticket money employ them, stop selling booze on trains

Well I've never been on a train but I think your idea is a good one. The Marshall could carry a taser. :D

Yep they should....you never been on train how come

Amtrak trains in the US do have cafe cars and dining cars and do sell beer- can't remember if they sold other liquor or not like wine. I would think if a person got too drunk the conductor can kick 'em off the train.

Most of time conductor to scared of dunks do anything...why in gods name do train companies allow it I surpposed much money made

Dang. U know u can get too drunk on airplane. They can't kick u off in air. But intoxicated in public they mostly charge misdemeanor. Try not stay too drunk but mellowed or sober.

Yes we can drink on long train trip . I took the train from California to Boston and ate in the dinner and you could buy drinks I don't drink so I didn't buy one.

Heck, what's even worse is an overseas flight where there are a bunch of young guys sitting close by who have had too much to drink, and they were kept being served as much liquor as they could buy. They were getting very rowdy just before we landed. No place to move to on a plane.

I'm surprised they were being served, it was time to cut them off.

I totally agree..I came States Washington Dc there real idiot on plane English idiot.Cops were waiting and he was put on returning flight to uk.Thats how to handle it.but why first train out 6or7am need booze.
Airlines don't allow you on drunk but get drunk on plane don't make sense

I took the subway to the Amtrak train in Boston after a Brewens game and the ammount of rowdy drunks scared me. When we all got on the Amtrak train they announced they would not be serving beer. The guy next to me was so hammered from the game he passed out and fell into the isle. It's a sad side of humanity.
