Don't you hate it when when you are at the ATM machine and you put your atm or debit card in and when you finish whatever you are doing and your card won't come out and is just stuck in the atm machine? It's really annoying, it happened to me 5 times already, I have to go to bank tomorrow morning and get my debit card again, atm machines need to die! :rl:

It happened to me once long time ago as the machine thought that i don't have any funds in my account which was joint accout with my mom before i met my wife and of course i was pissed off when the atm took my card and went inside and told the bank that was my mom's account. So the bank gave my card back!!!!!! STUPID BANK!!!!!! :rl:

Yeah, it sucks, I wish my atm machine has like that thing when you can slid in your card back and forth and not worry about atm card being stuck in the atm machine
 
my life is simple,no checks no cash no atm cards, hubby does everything and I have no financial responsibility to worry about! and I want it that way! if I want something we go together and get it or he gives me the money I need otherwise I am fine, keeps me from blowing it all on stupid shit I don't need!:ty:
 
It happened to me once. I used my house keys to pull the card out.
 
I put the key under the card, then pressed the key down so that I could nudge the card towards me.

Nail clippers would probably be a lot easier, unless you are Macgyver and enjoy challenges..:)

Yes, it sure can be frustrating when the ATM 'eats' the card--takes it and doesn't return it when the transaction is complete. However, with some ATM's, depending on the bank that owns the ATM, most will not 'return' the card to its owner, but simply re-order a new ATM card. The first time it had happened to me was many years ago (when I was in my young 20's) and meeting my parents at an ATM machine to show them how it worked--since at the time, it was a 'new feature', 'new idea' of getting money via ATM's. Anyhow, my parents watched in amazement, watched me pulled my money out...waited--waited--waited--the card never came back! My parents and I had a great laugh that night!! Showing them for the first time how wonderful it was and ends up with the ATM machine 'taking the card'! Ofc, the card was returned back to me--a couple more other times it happened as well, those, never got the card back. Had to be re-issued a new one.

The suggestion or idea of placing a key to retrieve the card might not be a good idea even if it works, just have to be careful not to raise suspicion by others who might think you're 'breaking' into the ATM. ;)

Ive never had an ATM card so I dont have to worry about this....
 
My old bank had an atm machine and i put my card in, entered the wrong PIN and it ate my card !! Had to get them to remove it from the machine. Crappy security.
 
When I was like about 19 or 20, ATM ate my card! I don't know why. So I had to wait for bank to open and re-issued new card. I remembered it happened to my friend also! So far it hasn't happen to me. *knock on the wood*
 
Yea it happened to me once long time ago. I was pissed and had to reissued another card.

Some ATM dont have to take your card, you simply swipe it and then do your business as usual.
 
That never happened to me before, knock on wood. I don't use the ATM machine often so chances are lower.
 
Yes it happened to me once... Pissed me off.. I went to the teller in the window which was the only one that was open on Saturday. I told her that my card is stuck in the machine. She said she cant help me with that but to come back on Monday and They will have your card. I was like ok. I asked her is it safe to leave it there? She said yes its stuck inside machine no one will get it. I said I hope not! Monday came and I went to the manager and told her that my card is stuck in the machine. She said no problem then asked me my name, blah blah. She said here is your card. I said thank you! whew! I dunno why the machine ate my card. I didnt ask why as I think it was just a glitch? oh well! ha!
 
I hate it when that happens...grrrrr
 
Mine happened only few weeks ago, when I was just taking out some cash and I left my card on the ATM and it just ate it, so I had to go inside the bank and tell them. They had no problem getting my card back, the lady went to the ATM and opened from the back, and pulled the card out and handed back to me, pronto.
 
Went to the bank to get my debit card back but it was sherred so I am getting a new one in 2 weeks, bleah!
 
I have never had that problem with my ATM card being stuck in the machine. Knock on wood. I hope that I will continue never get my ATM card get stuck in there. I read some of your posts about what happen when ATM get stuck like Roadrunner and his parents waited for the ATM card to come out. This is really funny. :rofl: Thank you for the warning. Just have be careful when putting in your ATM card in the machine. Accidents happen. :cool2:
 
when i went to ATM get money years ago and my credit cards got eated they wont come out! im really hates that one!
