Does your dog has a flu shot?

The dog flu has just hit my city so I am bring Marty in for a shot on this Friday and he'll a booster shot in a week . Marty has bronchitis and get SOB very easy so I am going to play it safe with him.

No I avoid un-necessary vaccines. Vaccines are not benign. The only vaccine I use for my dogs is the the 3-YEAR Rabies vaccine, and after it's given I follow a de-toxification protocol suggested by my holistic vet.

Still - last year my beloved big girl developed a tumor at the site of her most recent Rabies vaccination, which was either earlier that year or the year before. The holistic vet agreed that it certainly could have been a vaccine reaction - even though it would be considered one of the "Severe" reactions and did not take place immediately following the vaccination.

"But if your pet should be exposed to the virus, as long as his immune system is healthy, he’ll either be asymptomatic (show no symptoms), or he’ll recover quickly without medical care. " This was in your link .

Marty is not healthy , he has bronchitis and he already pneumonia and has trouble breathing in very hot or cold weather and will start coughing . I would not be so concern if my dog was healthy . He sleep a lot b/c from having SOB .

:wave:WDYS!, I see that part you mention, in my link, and you're right to notice it.

For me, when I think about this kind of things, I think it's important to consider all variables...from what I've learned about holistic vet perspective <from my holistic vet and others> is that an already un-healthy animal should not be vaccinated. The brochures for the vaccines actually state that.

Below is another statement, part of an excerpt from a longer article:

<begin quote> "the third a Veterinary Pathobiologist, they all have weighed in: MASS INOCULATIONS ARE THE VERY CAUSE OF RISE OF MUTANT STRAINS AND PANDEMICS ARE THE ENDGAME.

I would never ever, recommend this and especially to dogs [flat-faced dogs likes pugs and bulldogs] who can hardly breath to begin with. Boarding facilities and vaccinologists will be the reason this vaccine will make more disease and deaths occur. Do not get the vaccine.

In continued correspondence Dr. Jordan added:

Canine Flu came from the use and overuse of modified flu vaccine in the equine. The horses had the vaccine sprayed up their noses and then the modified live virus mutated to be able to attack and infect dogs. The first were the racing greyhounds on the very tracks that the equine flu came from.

You can expect that the virus will once again mutate and jump to infect man and probably the cat, anyone that shares the environ with the dogs. Some dogs … because a vaccine has nothing to do with the ability of the individual to deal with a virus … may not have any signs until a stressor or another trigger comes along … bad food, travel, crowding, the physical exertion of racing, etc.

People getting flu vaccines is most likely where the flu mutated from us to the horses……and we can expect much more of that with all of these pop a shot for profit coming down the pike. I’m particularly worried about groomers and kennel owners believing they need to add this shot to their requirements for service. Then you will see stressed out multiply-housed animals really rise a mutation.

It’s the very use of vaccines is what keeps the disease in play. Vaccination does not mean immunization; it does not mean immunity. Every vaccination is experimentation under the guise of providing health care delivery.

You asked about side effects. I fear vaccinating will contribute to the making of a pandemic virus, will contribute to the circulation of viral proteins, will contribute to the toxic load of pets and people, and will help rise the strains of mutations.

So I see your concern, but, like the human flu vaccine, the use of the canine flu vaccine is not automatically a good idea.

One possible way to consider this is - boost Marty's immune system through diet and environment. You probably have some good ideas about this already through your experience in health care.

One of my doggies did have allergies and got a shot for that once...but a "Flu Shot"?...even I would not have one...

Vets want that $$...(don't we all?)
