Hi everyone! I am a first time poster here, although I have perused many of the threads over time in an effort to better understand the Deaf Community, a community that some of my beloved family members are a part of.
I came across a kickstarter campaign today that involves Rachel Coleman from Signing Time, and I was kind of surprised to see that it was for a documentary about her family's decision to give their daughter a cochlear implant. It also looks to include another family's journey of giving both of their children the implant and shows their progress over time.
I'm inclined to donate to the film because I want to see it so badly, as it seems to be somewhat bi-partisan and the cochlear implant is something that comes up in conversation so much with my Deaf family and friends. I'm curious to know what the rest of you think after watching the trailer. I want to donate so that I can see it, but wanted to get some other opinions first. I have attached the link to their page so you can watch the video. Thank you so much!
