Recently I went to a physical therapy at Kaiser. I was asked if I have traveled to Africa or I took care of anyone who has Ebola. I said no to both questions. It's getting very serious since Kaiser asks every patient those questions at check-in.
I think every person coming from the Ebola stricken countries from Africa should be quarrantied automatically for 21 days upon arrival just to be safe.
The doctor did not quarantined himself when he got back home and he knew he could be at risk of having Ebola. I feel this is a crime , the doctor going out in public and exposing everyone to a deadly disease . I heard on the news people in NY want to know why the out was out in public.

I agree with that but there probably is a fine line of keep in keeping a person in the facility for treatment and assuming that they need to be treated with no evidence it kind of goes against your human rights. For example you can't be detained by police without being arrested if you're just being there for questioning you have the right to leave and can't be kept without a charge.
If when these people come from these countries and they're not showing any signs or symptoms of any kind of disease then they have to let them go without proof that they do contain a disease even if it's lying dormant or are they just have a slow metabolism so the "activation" of the disease might not of taken effect. Two people could have caught pneumonia at the exact same time but depending on the metabolism, weight, health then they might not show symptoms as fast as the person who weighs less than or not in good health.
Now what I do think they should do is before they leave there should have been some kind of vaccinations and medications to take prior to them leaving when they get back they need to have a thorough screening and get more vaccinations when they come back. In the military you get a vaccine for smallpox and you take medicine before you leave so When you go there you don't contract anything and when you come back you get a thorough screening to make sure you didn't bring anything back here.
Dr. Snyderman said she would observe a 21-day quarantine but she did not. She was caught going out for soup.I am talking about the doctor quarantined himself , he should of had the common sense to had this like Dr. Nancy Snyderman of Nightly news did, she was in Africa covering this story and one of her cameraman
got Ebola and she and her crew quarantined themselves for 21 days .
It reminds me of my cat who almost contacted with BAT but my kitty didnt have rabies. I still had to report to VET and then The health dept made me to put her in the quarartine for 6 mos for making sure shes fine.. I dont want her to spread out to me and my family and other cats. so no matter what if you have been somewhere in other country and still need to report to hospital. If you learn more about others who got sick.. unfortunately.

good thing I wasn't here when it happened as I was relaxing in Dominican Republic. I landed last night at JFK airport and the Global Security check-out computer asked if I am showing any Ebola symptoms or if I have had any contact with Ebola patients.
