is guilty or innocent????

We had a guy yesterday, ofcourse, says he "didn't do nothing". (That is a double negative, so that means he did something...) Well, when an officer escorted him from the cell to the bathroom, he assaulted the officer (shoved him and knocked his glasses off) and took off out of the police station.

Well, he got tackled and cuffed. he complained he was hurt. Ambulance went. The EMT's are all students, and VERY friendly with the police. They put him on a backboard, and made sure all the straps to tie him in were nice and tight  Then, ofcourse, they had to cut all his clothes, except boxers, off to make sure he had no injuries. At the hospital, the doctors cleared him.

What do you think? Innocent or Guilty?? or just a dumbass and deserves to be in jail anyways?

What the hell ya talkin about prost? That looks like brutality to me. Also was he deaf? How can he sign if they tie him up? Huh? Geez I'm glad I dont live in USA.

He wasn't deaf. Hearing. He got arrested for possesion of stolen things. He was in the jail and had to use the bathroom. When the cop took him, he hit the cop and ran. The cops caught up to him, tackled him, cuffed him, and then was taken to the hospital cuz he said he was "hurt".

Even though I don't know the whole story here, it does seem that the guy was trying to get off easy and avoid taking responsibility for himself.. he was acting very guilty, and bit back like a cornered up rat. He did harm a human being (ie. officer in this case), and still refused to take responsibility for that as well. I know officers risk their lives and bodily harm in the line of duty, and the good ones deserve medals (excluding the corrupt and stupid ones). :D

Here is the article from the local paper, the providence jounal.

Students suspected in robberies at URI
05/14/2003

BY JENNIFER D. JORDAN
Journal Staff Writer

SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- A spate of dormitory thefts at the University of Rhode Island -- including one by masked robbers over the weekend -- stems from "disputes among a group of students that has gotten out of hand," said URI spokeswoman Linda Acciardo.

A male student reported his cell phone, clothes and CDs stolen from his room at Coddington Hall Saturday night by a masked couple.

Other thefts were reported Saturday, including about $8,000 worth of professional sports jerseys, caps, a Sony PlayStation, 15 games and more than 100 DVDs from two rooms at Dorr Hall.

Acciardo said URI police now think the robberies are related, and that a group of "several students" are stealing from one another.

"We're looking at the student behavioral issues, and these incidents are under investigation by the university police and by the office of residential life," Acciardo said.

"Given the nature of the incidents, we are enhancing the security in the residence hall areas over the next few days."
