Did you just IM someone to converse ?
 
This is a specific, valid question. I know some people save their conversations (logging) from IMs (instant messages). Do you log your conversations or not?
 
What do u mean Log conversation U mean saved a conversation that is made betwen u and someone else? Well for me it depends on who it is.. I do not log my friends only people that I do not know .. in case I would needed it to proof who that person is next time they imed me again....

Well, someone just im'd me from MSN with their new "invitation" screen name dialog box askin' me if, I accept it or not..geez... and I don't even know who the heck that person is. Sounds like there must be someone from this AD.

I do with oddball then I forword them to her parents so they can see for themselves how perverted she is

Anyway, I only log the ones about legal stuff, trip planning, addresses with directions, funny chats and conversations with really stupid people.

I never really log in any of my conversations. Usually for travel plans, I just copy and paste the info into notepad and then put it on desktop for easy reference.
 
on rare occasions i will log the IM converstations -- i just follow my vibes if something doesnt feel right i will log in the event anything happens in the near future i have that IM converstation logged
 
I'm using Trillian. There's an option in Trillian that allows you to automatically log everything that goes on through Trillian. It logs all IMs through AIM, MSN, ICQ, IRC, & YIM. It also logs all chat rooms as well. It even logs who signed on/off, when Trillian disconnected, when members went "away" and "back", and many more. I've got a complete log of every converstation I've had since February 2002. Hehehe! :thumb:

I do at all times, because it comes in handy. If someone asked me when did something happpen, i can look up a certain word in my logs and find it. Thats the nice side of trillian. I dont do it because I dont trust people, but it is a good thing to have sometimes.

:werd: That's exactly why I do it. I have nothing against anyone. This logging feature has saved my butt many times. Once, a long lost friend IMed me. She hadn't IMed me in over a year and we only talked once on AIM. Luckily, I was able to check the log and find out who she was. There was another time when a friend and I were discussing homework. We covered a lot of material. Later, I went to get back to my homework and realized that I lost the paper to do my homework. Luckily, it was logged and I was able to see what the answers were. Heh!

I only logged the conversations by insecure boyfriends whenever there were arguments between us. And I use those as EVIDENCES because so far all jerks I dated always denied that they never called me names or accused me of this or that...
:stupid: They are not compute gurus like me and I flashed out the transcript of our conversation to them.
:Owned: They just went speechless and said that they didn't mean it at that time... :roll:

But now no more jerks so I don't log any conversation. :cool:
