I just want to a ballgame tonight. And the crowd was very loud and now my left ear hurts when i swallow

I got my daughter to see the fireworks when she was younger , they lasted a lot longer than I realize and they were over I could not hear for about a hour! I had to drive home this way too. My ears will hurt if I am too close to a loud sound too.

Yes, they do. For instance, most people assume that since i am HoH, i have to blast my music to be able to hear it.. that is not the case. Many hearies listen to music that is far louder than i can stand

Yes. You can get severe tinnitus if there is some hearing and there can be pain in your ear. Getting too close to loud fireworks is not a good idea.

But I'm deaf i can still hear some.Like vibrations and not clear i my hearing level is 93

Totally deaf....several years ago, went to Daytona Beach for Bike Week w/friends...we stayed over for the Bike Parade also...the roaring of those Harley's...for over a week, I had "roaring" in my head...it was awful!

I was not too close to the fireworks , it was how long they lasted that was too much for me. I thought they would be for 30 minutes . They lasted over a hour which was unusual for a small town .

I imagine it's the vibrations, not the sounds, that cause the pain.

it stand to reason vibration hurt eardrum and sound can come through bones like rr if load motor bikes around i would be aware
