Disgraceful Behavior During Moment Of Silence

Disgusting ! Both side need to grow up ! That was not the time or place to have a walkout !

did both sides walk out during a moment of silence or heckle it?

I have no hope for the Congress, FBI, DOJ, HHS and DHS because they failed to prevent the mass shooting, also the Congress could have ability to increase the security budget and banning someone that suspect of terrorism and homicidal from buying gun legally, FBI/DOJ could have increase the oversight of homegrown terrorists and detain/arrest the suspects, also thwart the plot to execute the mass shooting plan, HHS could have reviewed and study on psycho and homicidal patients and DHS could change the immigration based on risk and screen immigrants out whichever they are connected to terrorist organization or cartel.

It isn't getting better without major changes that is necessary to thwart or prevent the mass shooting.

Also, I have no problem to put our military to patrolling all events in our country and I think that police departments, combined with US military will improve the security. Sure, put National Guards and US Marines to patrolling Disney World.

House erupts into shouting after moment of silence for Orlando
By Cristina Marcos

After Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) led the House in the moment of silence in honor of the 49 people who died in the massacre on Sunday, the chamber erupted into shouting as Democrats expressed frustration over the lack of votes to restrict guns after repeated mass shootings.
"Where's the bill?" Democrats chanted.

"Show some respect!" other Democrats shouted.

Some lawmakers walked out of the House chamber before the moment of silence began in protest, including Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.). Earlier in the day, Himes declared he would not participate in any more moments of silence as a form of protest over the lack of legislative responses to mass shootings.

"The fact is that a moment of silence is an act of respect, and we supported that. But it is a not a license to do nothing," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters off the House floor afterward.

"Members have just had enough of having one minute, a moment of silence on the floor, and then take no action," she said.

After the moment of silence ended, Assistant Minority Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.) tried to seek recognition, a request Ryan denied.

Clyburn told reporters that he wanted to speak about the upcoming anniversary — this Friday — of the shooting at a historically black church in his district a year ago in Charleston, S.C.

"I think that we have some appalling silence taking place in this body when we ought to be responding," Clyburn said.

Pelosi chided Ryan for denying Clyburn recognition, calling his move "really disrespectful."

Democratic leaders said they want votes on three specific bills: legislation to close the so-called Charleston loophole, which allowed the shooter in that case to buy a gun after three days even though a background check was not completed; prevent people who are on the FBI's no-fly list from buying guns; and prohibit anyone convicted of a hate crime from purchasing firearms.

It's not the first time Democrats have staged protests in response to a moment of silence after a mass shooting, though it is the first in recent memory sanctioned by their leadership.

Last fall, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) shouted out "Now let's do something!" after a moment of silence for the shooting at an Oregon community college.

This one of the many reasons why I don't support the Democrats. They are an embarrassment to the whole country.

Instead of showing respect, they continue to try and strip rights away from lawful Americans.

While I can agree that many things that Trump has said has been very ugly, he tells the truth when he says it. Hillary has lied about everything, distorts everything, and did not go to the aid of a US Ambassador. I don't think we will have that problem with Trump as President.

I do wonder why Ivanka Trump is always asked about what she thinks concerning what her dad has said about women. Chelsea Clinton is NEVER asked those questions about her dad, Bill Clinton. Even though he has partied with Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire pedophile, been accused of rape, and cheated on his wife while President and lied to Congress.

With the Clintons, you get lies. Trump was not my first, or even 17th pick for President. I even considered voting for Bernie ... but I cannot and will not vote for that evil evil evil woman.

And it has nothing at all to do with her being a woman. If Condi were to step up and run right now, she would get my vote.

Well, I support Democratic Party because of their best alliance with LGBT people, support government assistance for people with disabilities (not deaf alone) and protect SS/Medicare.

I didn't support Hillary at all, I voted Obama over her in 2008, also supported Bernie until he doesn't have enough delegate to win the nomination, so I faced tough choice - I have to vote her because I don't want Trump to ruin the LGBT communities or take my SS/Medicare away. It wasn't easy decision for me.

Democrat is getting more left now and Republican is getting more right now so independent voters cannot trust both of them over US Supreme Court picks nowadays.

I understand that democrat politicians are very frustrated with inaction in the Congress, even republican politicians are frustrated as well.

how does that best alliance work when they don't even respect a moment of silence for the slaughtered lgbtqa?

with alliances like that
who needs enemies?
just some thoughts

because they are frustrated because they couldn't getting job done on right time so they felt it was enough with mass shooting.

Also, being in political is tough job!

Although, of course, it is disrespectful to do it but after many mass shooting, they are just feel like enough... enough... enough...

What is the problem with letting these bills come to a vote?

You would think they would realize by now that Gun Free Zones are the problem.

I don't want to get into political debate here. I just think on the human level that was a disgraceful action. Politics should be put aside long enough to show respect for the dead and care for the survivors.

No, they are anti-gun so that's not gonna happen.

You cannot change the democrat's view on anti-gun and support gun control laws so that's not gonna happen and they aren't gonna to switch because majority of their constituents are anti-gun.

November will going be matter and it is up to independent voters.
