Digital Hearing aids Dislike

Anyone here have a digital hearing aid that really love with the sound and everything but when it comes to the life and the shortness you get tired and sick of it? I have phonak digital hearing around that is $2,500.00 each and I take them back every other week to get repaired, due to sweat, & other lil problems and I really hate it, so im trying to work my butt off doign yard work for hte nighbors trying to make $400.00 so i can get my hearing aids that are off the insurance that I had before the digital fixed because they had a longer lifespan, the Lion Club or w/e wouldnt help me or I couldnt get any grants because I have hearing aids insured whihc really sucks!!
 
One thing that might help is a hearing aid conditioner like the Dry and Store. I think it's ~$100-150. Another thing that could help (although you might already be doing this) is leaving the aid out for at least 20-30 minutes after you shower.
 
Digital Hearing Aids

I got Resound digital hearing aids and I don't hate it. I really like it better than analog. I just have to get enough sound and I will be fine.
 
I love my digital hearing aid. Yes, I have to take it back to my audiologist more than I did with the analog hearing aid, but I would much rather have the digital over an analog. This is my 2nd digital hearing aid (my first was Phonak's Claro, the one I now have is Phonak's Supero). I've noticed I've had more problems with the Supero than I did with the Claro, but I wouldn't want to go back to using the Claro. Supero has a lot more power and volume that the Claro doesn't have.

That's just my experience and thoughts for myself.
 
just curious.. why is digital better than analog? How are they different? I'm long overdue for new hearing aids..
 
I am not sure why, I suppose better sound quality, better background control.
I too wanted digital but I couldn't stand the high tinny sound because of my migraines. So I stayed with analog. Bought Beltone cheapies for about a thou apiece.
So far so good, knock knock knock.

Finer-grained adjustment (more amplification here, less there). Background noise filtering. Directionality.
 
My old speech teacher told me I should benefit from digital hearing aid. She said do not go for CI. I guess I will tell her guess what? I will lose my hearing over time and will need CI anyway so what will digital hearing aid do for me? nothing.. jeez..
