Different kinds of hearing aids

Even if your hearing loss made this impossible, would you DEFINITELY want to wear a different kind of hearing aid from what you are currently using... and why?
 
Are you doing research on deaf public opinion regarding HA services? Just curious given nature of the 3 questions you have posed in this forum?
 
I wear Digital BTE (behind the ear) hearing aids. And they work for me very well. So I have not considered using anything else yet.

I've never worn any other hearing aid model other then Siemens before I got implanted. I did wear a Telex ha for a month till I ruined it when I left it in my pants and washed them. I didn't like it so I went back to Siemens.

As a person with severe/profound loss , I have only one choice BTE

I'm wondering too. Alot of questions to ask.

OK Martyns. Let me ask you some questions..

Are you deaf, hoh or affiliated with any?


Why the sudden interest on asking us these question out of "just wondering"
 
I work at an organisation where I come into contact with deaf and hoh people every day, though 99% of the time is hearing people, like myself.
 
We don't mind answering questions, just be honest with us. I don't want someone just using me. I would like it if you just made one posting with the type of questions you needed answering.
 
HI Im severe to profound hear loss. I wear the Digital BTE (behind the ear). Its the only kinds that i can wear. I can hear out of it pretty well. Im up to get the newest one in a year or 2. But right now I just got my current one refurbish to new again. I love what i have cause i can listen to my ipod with an wireless fm and phone too.
