to me, gaslighting for what occurs in the communication between a hearing person and a d/Deaf person is a form of abuse whch is not not yet named and I think it should be illegal, silly as this might seem, it is not. Now consider sexual harrassment, looking at 30, or 20 or even as recent 10 years ago verbal remarks on womens appearance was 'normal' and not it is not tolerated, even it could land one into court for harrassment!...the world is changing, and it continues to change. It is up to us to say "thats enought its not a joke, stop belittling us!" this abuse scars in areas of social, psychological and emotional well being of d/Deaf individuals. No one should be harmed in such a manner.
