I'm not talking about loaning out your PS3 to a friend for the weekend. I'm thinking business loan. Here are some examples:

Your friend has decided to open an antique store. He/she wants one of your bikes on a loan to draw people to store. You agree to loan bike in exchange for a compensation.

Your friend does house repairs. He wants your vintage vehicle on loan for photo shoots. You agree to do it and be compensated.

I'm not talking monetary loans. I'm talking about loaning your stuffs. Have you done anything like that? What happened?

The last time I loaned somebody something, that person lost it, and had to pay me $75 for it, which the person wasn't happy about, but he was responsible for it, and lost it.

I have a deal with the local butcher if it counts. I process about 15 rabbits a month for them and he trades other meats with me. We are talking about other meats but right now, once we come to an agreement on up front cost we will see. It can benefit both parties if worked out right.

Are you thinking of making a "business" loan yourself? If you're made something written agreement and have all parties involved sign it.

I have not thought about making a loan before.

It's a little different from bartering. If I was bartering, I would trade my bike for discounts or store credits. Here, I'm asking if people loaned their bikes to someone for store display in exchange for discount. Yeah, it's almost like a barter only person is not trading bike for store credit or discount.

or rather, 'a deal to return the favor' its not money but favor
