For the last 2 years, I went to Deaf Happy Hour for New Year's Eve in Dallas, Texas.

I went to 2006 and 2007. Those were a lot of fun. It was also a great opportunity for me to bump into some old friends that I hadn't seen in years.

In 2006, I bumped into a couple friends that I hadn't seen in 15 years.

In 2007, I was able to have dinner there with a friend that I hadn't seen in 10 years.

I found out last month that there won't be any Deaf Happy Hour for New Year's Eve in Dallas, Texas.

This year, the host and/or committee decided to cancel DHH for this month. The message on their website said that we should be spending time with our families.

I wish they didn't cancel it. They should have kept it alive. :(


Anyways, any of you ever go to DHH DFW NYE in the past?
 
Let you know that DHH cancel during the lacking hosting and lacking committee.

So, I hope for DHH-DFW 2009 will be better and improve. God, I miss the original DPHH which was blast time.

Lacking in hosting and committee?

Are you sure it's not just so that they could host their own party instead?

One guy at RIT did that. He convinced his boss to let him help set up a party on campus to keep students from partying off campus (Friday night) during Brickfest Weekend. When the party started, he was nowhere to be found. He was actually at his own place with his own party. He got fired. ;)
