Not far from my hometown just few minutes 14.3 miles and 21 minutes im hope KARK weather not get in jeopardy of his jobs he is chief weather so articles says that man who friends of weatherman's is still in processing of crime lab if not foul play or drugs,alcohol we have wait and see to find out so no arrest made yet and police in Maumelle,Ar says no files charges so KARK weatherman did question to police we have wait and see to says..SO i will kept update this story.

Sounds like he had too much to drink. Sad local story. Speaking of local stories. Some girl who was staying at a house on my street just got charged for animal cruelty. She put hair ties around a dogs snout and the dog suffocated to death.

So. Don't drink and pass out in a hot tub or put anything around a dogs snout. You learn from "off" (to put it kindly) people and life goes on.

Police says kark chief weatherman Brett cummins not in custody or arrest yet but I don't know who did but still on investigation so Brett cummins is current off air at kark news stations for weeks on his friend's death.

I will kept update what going on

I read katv says maumelle man have drugs also but I don't know who did so that result from crime lab.

Maumelle man's family makes statesment but not on camera thru by via attorney

The family of Dexter Williams released a statement through their lawyer:

"While we are disturbed by the circumstances surrounding the death of our son, we are confident the authorities will fully investigate this tragic event.

"Dex had a very loving but trusting heart. Anyone who knew him would agree that he was easily influenced.

"We would like to thank our friends and family for their continued sympathies and support."

KARK Chief Weatherman Brett Cummins wanted respect their privates but he not wanted comment interviews during investgations..

KARK Official and General Manager makes statesment they wanted respect private for Chief weatherman till complete investgations..But they cant find on websites of KARK..

i read on websites more about chief weatherman you read says "Brett Cummins"

MAUMELLE, Ark. - Authorities are investigating the death of Arkansas man, Dexter Williams, who was found dead, with a chain around his neck, in an unfilled hot tub with a local TV meteorologist, Brett Cummins, asleep beside him.

Maumelle police were summoned Monday morning to the home where they found Dexter Williams' body in the hot tub.

The homeowner told authorities that Williams and the meteorologist, Cummins of Little Rock television station KARK, had been at his home Sunday night. he told authorities that he invited Cummins to his home Sunday evening. Cummins showed up with his friend Williams, and they started drinking and doing drugs, the homeowner told police. At some point, they got into a hot tub and continued drinking, according to the report.

The homeowner said he later fell asleep on his couch and that when he woke the next morning, he found Cummins asleep in the hot tub and Dexter Williams next to him. Williams' face was discolored and he had with a chain around his neck, police said. The hot tub was not filled with water.

When Cummins awoke and found Williams unconscious, with his face discolored, Cummins screamed and became sick to his stomach, the homeowner told police.

Cummins left the home, but later returned and spoke with authorities.

Maumelle police Lt. Jim Hansard said investigators haven't ruled out foul play in the death of Williams, 24An autopsy is being conducted on his body.

Cummins has not been charged in Williams' death and no arrests had been made by Tuesday evening.

Mike Vaughn, the general manager for KARK, said Cummins reported to work Monday. He said the station had received the police report about Williams' death and was working to figure out what happened, but he declined to comment further.

KARK reported on Williams' death in a post on its website and added that Cummins "will not be on the air as he is mourning the loss of his friend."

What is suspicious to me is that Brett Cummins left the scene and then returned. The owner of the house they were found in also stated that they were both 'snorting narcotics'. I'm thinking that they did drugs until they passed out and unfortunately Dexter Williams probably overdosed and died.

When the blood test results come back, they may or may not find illegal substances in Brett Cummins unless he left the scene to 'flush his system'.

Because of this, I don't think he will have a job anymore at any local news station.

Also, Sara, the weather at Ch. 4 will NOT be affected by ANY of this. They will simply rotate the other weathermen/women around until they select a new chief meteorologist from within their ranks or if they hire a new chief meteorologist from outside of Ch. 4 news. This is standard when a meteorologist leaves or gets fired.

I dont think so he will fired from KARK but he get off air for weeks so KARK General Manager wouldnt hired another chief weatherman or woman because Brett is chief weather.

my mom's friend also lives in Maumelle,Ar told me says that man died from drugs and perhaps have gay lovers its would clue..And Police says will not allowed show result of autospy due private by Maumelle man's family on investgation.
 
Was his pants down and penis exposed? That would explain alot, like that Kung Fu guy who accidentally hung himself because he was trying to get a sexual high by temporarily cutting off the oxygen of the brain while masturbating.

Some people just get stupid and careless that way. I guess we'll know more for sure when the autopsy report gets released to the media.

you people - they were snorting drugs (meth likely) and they were having some rowdy rough sex activities. There's ALWAYS a high risk of serious injury or death. I think Dexter overdosed or strangled himself accidentally. The blood found is probably leaking from his anus due to anal sex. When you take poppers and meth at once, you don't feel pain and as a result, you're likely to bleed more.

Meth use is strongly associated with HIV infection (well duh!).
