There will be a Deafestival coming up on August 30, 2008 at Louisville, Kentucky.

I have attended several previous Deafestival events and it is similiar to Deaf Nation Expo. However, this is more like in a "relaxed" environment where there will be performers, booths, stories, clowns for the kids, so and on. It's a great event to attend to.

No, It will be for ever other 2 years in Louisville. It doesn't go to different towns across the US. That is because KCDHH (Kentucky Commission of Deaf and Hard of Hearing) is hosting the Deafestival and I was told that Louisville is one of the city that grants a lot of sponsorship for the festival. That is why they chose to host it in Louisville for every other 2 years.

yes its nice..also will have BIG social afterwards in a place call 4th St Live which is few blocks away.l..i dunno if i will go bec my kids come first

Ummm it sound like fun...not sure if we can go cuz of darn gas price! And even I never been to KY yet!

what about Arkansas? like Little Rock or North Little Rock you have idea for that?

How many ppl attend this one day event? I just looked the festival entrance fee. $325.00 plus its a long way from Florida. Too bad it's not close by. We'd be selling like hotcakes!!!!!

In the previous festivals like this one, the attendance ranged between 2,000 to 7,000. This is what I hear from "word of the mouth" but however, I can ask and find out the exact figure from the chair person of the festival.

The admission is free for everyone but as you said, $325 is the entrance fee for exhibitors and for those who wishes to have a booth.

Food vendors too. :aw: Sometimes they allow food vendors, sometimes no.

Thanks!!! Appreciate you letting me know. Where is the next year's festival since it's held in KY only every other year? If you know that?
