NOW HIRING DEAF SERVICES SUPPORT STAFF!!


The Northeast Arc has multiple openings for direct care staff fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) to provide direct support in our residential environments. Our Deaf Services program and network has now been providing quality clinical Residential and Vocational support services to adults who are deaf and developmentally disabled for over a quarter century! Our nationally recognized program has evolved from the progressive approach we took from the start!

• “Red House” set the standard for housing services for those individuals.
• Hiring qualified deaf and hearing professionals fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Introducing the use of adaptive technology for the Deaf.

Employment Opportunities at Northeast Arc:

House Managers - Support individuals who are developmentally disabled to increase their independence. Assist individuals with daily activities including recreation, community skills, housekeeping, personal care and deaf awareness, communication and personal growth. A desire to support and teach people to live more independent lives as well as the ability to work as part of a team necessary. This is a benefited position with comprehensive vacation, holiday and health benefits.

Relief Managers - Provide direct support in residential environments. Schedule your own hours as available to assist full time staff. This is a per diem, non-benefited position.

Requirements:
• Must be reliable and dependable with both the care you give as well as attendance.
• Must be comfortable with providing personal care (i.e. bathing, feeding, toileting) and providing other daily living skill support.
• Be comfortable working with individuals with varying behavioral issues.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Certifications CPR, First Aid, MAPS are a plus.
• Valid Driver's License.
• HS Diploma or GED.
Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
