Is there a Deaf Service that helps pay the deaf and hard of hearing Bills while they are on SSI?

She's talking about cable bills such as for TV and computer, etc...and need to focus on more important needs like food, clothes, etc other stuff for her family.
 
the only thing i could remmy while i was living in apt .. and i ran in a problem with not having enough money and i went to dhs and they gave me money to pay rent for apt.. thats it.. i got food stamps.. small money to pay ulitities bills..

they even have money vouchers for people who need help with gas money when it was so high..

angel food ministry u can get foods for only 25 dollars.. (get two so u can get extra foods)

they are talking about having money to help pay people with fixed incomes to pay for electricity bills cuz its high this summer.. so dont know if they have that for your area.. check that out.. look thru dhs at your hometown and see?

Do they help pay for cable, elec, water bill? I mean where would I go to and what is DHS? They help pay the rent for apartments? All of it? If you want please feel free to PM me.. :ty:

no only rent.. not for cable but Arvac will help with electricity if i remmy right.. not sure.. its been so long time.. i live with my mom as my mom is sick now.. so not sure as i only give my mom money for rent and electricity thats it.. so dunno about that now?? cuz its been almost 5 yrs since i have been back here at my moms..

like i said have to look at your state url and check to see if they will help with electricity.. or for u to contact your dhs for electricity.. but not for cable cuz cable is considered as luxury...

car payments is even considered as luxury..

house, water, gas, are not considered luxury as it is for place to live..

foods.. not of course..


car, cable, pagers, internet.. etc.. are condsidered as luxury.. they said that.. i was like ok!

i got mad at them when i coudlnt afford to pay rent cuz of my car payemtns?? they said car is luxuiry i was like ok.. finally got the car paid off.. then finally have more money for bills.. lol :)
 
For rent or apartment, i'd go to local Department of housing services, Or go to your local center on deafness and ask for a list.. they should provide one or recommend a place you can ask.

Your electricity company should have a service that allows you to pay a flat rate each month. I remember when I lived in an old apartment about 2 years ago, my electricity company helped me lower payments by allowing me to pay a certain amount each month.

as for luxeries, most places that try to help you won't consider them essiental. so I wouldn't bother.
