Having a heck of a time finding anything out on the internet - does anyone know of anything happening in Kansas, or a website I can bookmark to keep up to date on things happening here?

TIA!!

Why yes. It depends on if you are willing to head into KC. Going east on 10 will take you to Olathe, a town that has many d/Deaf events. They even have a Deaf Cultural Center. Kansas Educational Foundation Deaf Cultural Center Due to my work schedule,I have not had a chance to go, but I have been wanting too. I am sure that they would make a great place to start looking for events. Also, you are right on KU, check with the campus, under classes SPED 500-504 (ASL intro to ASL4). I am sure, like my ASL class, the teacher has postings of surrounding functions outside the classroom door. Or you could check with the admission office to find the instructor’s name and get details directly from her/him. I am not sure about KU, but as for my school, deaf events are mandatory for the course, it would not be hard to just get the meeting places and times from them.

I live right on the other side of the KS/MO border and am taking ASL101 at the community college to learn sign since finding out about my hearing loss. I have found that there are many gatherings in the KC area if you can not find any in your town; I will have to look on the west side of town to see what I can find closer to your location. Most that I have been looking for are on the MO side. Earlier this month I knew about one in Olathe, but could not make it due to class/work. I want to say this Saturday, downtown KC at the plaza is a signing gathering at the ice rink.. not sure of the time, I will check on it.
