Assuming that the Diversity Club refers to cultural diversity, absolutely. However, this will be next to impossible if you have no Deaf students on campus.

Then I would say absolutely join the club and do what you can to educate hearing students about Deaf culture. Too many times universities without a large d/D/hh population see deafness as a disability rather than a linguistic and cultural difference. I am currently working on my master's degree and working in the student services dept. I am constantly correcting those who should know better re: the cultural viewpoint vs. disability.
