Hi i was just wondering if i was in the deaf community as I am HOH I also know Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and use it regularly although i can hear with my hearing aids out and hold a conversation but i don't know anyone who is deaf let alone someone in the deaf community.

Yes you are if you use Auslan. How come you don't know anyone who is deaf?
 
I know how that goes, especially when you live in a small town. you might need to go online and search for deaf community events around your area or close by? I know that might not be the answer, but its a start :)
