Hello,

I am a deaf college student looking for some or your guys' opinions on a paper
I am writing for my college thesis about deaf culture. I am only able to take answers from my questions, not stuff that is already written on this site. I know you guys hate answering any questions, but if you find a minute, I would be so appreciative.

1- What kind of communication method do you prefer? (texting, ASL, lipread, etc)

2- What sound-based interfaces do you find difficult? (drive throughs, call boxes, etc)

3- Are you interested in new deaf-enabling technologies?

Thank You!!

1. Would prefer ASL (once I learn more), but have to rely on lip reading and writing.

2. All of them. I am total deaf.

3. I have video phone capabilities. I don't use a cell phone. I have flashers for the telephone. I can get flashers for the doorbell for no charge. I have family to help when I might need it, but I am learning to deal with it more and more. What "deaf-enabling technologies" are we speaking of?

1- text (texts, chats, email, etc.)

2- Drive through fast food restaurants are the worst! (even hearing people complain)

3- More technology is always good. I'm an early adapter with technology.

Good luck with your paper!
