Dating an older woman

I dated a girl eight years older than me, I was 21. It was fine, it didn't last but we had fun.

Age is just a number.

I have a good friend who is marrying a man, 15 years younger, this September. Don't know if I could go that young at this stage but they're very happy together so I am thrilled for her. :)

There is a way lot of it going on. I gave up on women my age, I was not convinced they even like us guys their age anyway. Yeah the young guys are right in there on them like white on rice. I cannot say as I blame them there. It seems to me that the older man younger woman combo is getting less prevalent with the younger women acting like older men are dog barf on a sunny day. All I have to do is put on my glasses and limp a little and I see them shut me down on sight.

if you read about hollywood, its not just the 'openness as tread' it's really about power, not sex.

i think it's more about matching mental ages...and as for those two old pervs, they just boys never grown up....and relying on power provided from their fame and riches...same goes for many other hollywood famouses.
As for me, I would like a like minded woman with some sort of erotic tendency similar to Bjork, mixed with some sort of serious investigative mind as Bones (Emily Deschanel), now thats some mix, is there anyone like out there? probably not.

I never cease to be amazed by the awesome women who exist out there. Sometimes they're even single.

I dunno about trends, but I typically shoot for older women. I'm too far forward of my own generation. Gap's too big. So I typically go for women 3-7 years older than me.

I'm 1.5 years older than Hubby, TCS. My daughter is exactly one year older than her husband. So, technically, we're "older" women. :giggle:

Aside: Anyone who tells you that "age is just a number" hasn't yet experienced the downhill changes to the body that happens. My spirit and mind are still young but my body no longer can keep up, and it takes a lot longer just to get going in the morning. Everything that I ask my doctor about gets the same reply: "Well, you're getting older; that's just something that happens as you age." Bleh! :(

Much agreed...I'm still young at heart...but...:giggle:..let's just say I know my limitations....seems time flyies as we get older....:dunno:

I didn't mean it in a bad way.

I'm 33 and my college class is filled with people in the 18-22 age range. I'm fortunate that I look young for my age but it still makes me feel old. I want to hack ten years off my age.

I meant it more in the 'when you're attracted to someone' sense. If you like someone twice your age (or half it) and it's reciprocated then why not?

I know. It's just not realistic. Come back when you're 60 and tell me that it's just a number. :)

If it works for them, that's fine. I just can't see myself being attracted to someone half my age, and vice versa. That would be younger than my son-in-law!

I was married to two young husbands. My first husband was 7 years younger than me but it did not last. He had affair with another woman. So I divorced him. Then I got married to my second husband who was 4 years younger than me. We had been married for 15 years before he passed away at 62 years old. So I am back to being single and not plan on getting married again. Enough is enough. :)

I am almost 2 years older than my hubby. Hehehehe!

women still have to be elegent to score as an older women, its like fine wine, if crap wine, it never ages well, its OFF, like vinger, YUCK.

Wirelessly posted

Once I dated a guy who was 11 years younger than I....never again....:giggle:....My ex was a few years younger than I...

I know a man who is 69 and is married to a woman who is 35, and they have a little girl who's about 3. The funny thing is that if each succeeding generation is born about 30 years apart, then the child down the line will be able to say, "My great-grandfather was born 200 years ago!" Mine was born in 1844, almost 170 years ago! My grandfather was born in 1889, and my Dad was born in 1918 Having a child this late in life put a kink in time perception for the child. I'm already 47, and I still haven't reached the age of my Dad experiencing another birth (that would happen next year). Most people my age had already experienced that passage 15-25 years ago. I have classmates with kids who already graduated from college and live on their own already! I just got here, it feels like!

My Dad was 17 years my step-mother's senior, and they were married for 25 years until he passed away. One of my step-sisters was married to a man 25 years her senior. I've done the same thing myself, dating a woman in her early 20s while I was 40. I love the young blood, and I never did grow up because of my learning difficulties and the fact that I stayed cavewoman in my perception of the world for so long. I'm very resistant to the "peer aging" phenomenon because of my being self-reliant emotionally for so long during the Cave Days. You just have to see me to see what I mean.

Even though my Mom was in her 70s and was a heart patient for nearly 25 years with limited ability to get around without running out of breath, she felt like she was still 16-18, mentally. She certainly did not think or act like a typical 70-year-old. Nor did she dress or cut her hair like one.
