Diehardbiker....hmm that might be the case here. I noticed that none of the routers I have tried using works with the cable modem smoothly. I plugged the ethernet cable directly to the cable modem and it works fine...even the guy at comcast says the cable modem is fine when they tested it online. I have tried it with 4 different routers and none of them work with stability....
