Cyclists strapping on cameras for protection

TCS has a camera on his motorcycle, and I have one on my Jeep (called a dashcam but it's actually on the windshield).

One for the handlebars or the front of the bicycle wouldn't be a bad thing, but for my helmet? Not a smart idea, considering my TS, so I'm gonna look into that, and see if I can find one.

Did you know that head is less shake than body? Handlebars was not smart idea due shake too much. No thanks.

Not in my case. Those cameras aren't cheap, and if I ever got one, the last place I want an expensive camera is on my head.
 
Last week my go pro hero fell off from handlebar, and when I get home I see two bottom legs of go pro housing :lol: I came back, and see nothing, even posted on lost/found item on craigslist, no luck! My big mistake for putting go pro on my bike handlebar :(

Ouch! Sorry to heard. I am thinking to buy the contour +2 because it come with GPS as location, MPH, and altitude information. Also cheaper than GoPro 3black. I learned that GoPro 3 got awful delay by around 5 seconds between GoPro and iPhone for live.

GoPro Hero 3? old version. it's 3+ now.

and remember... for every nice feature you want like GPS... your battery life will be extremely short

Problem is that I have over $100 worth of GoPro accessories. Contour will fit GoPro Accessories? I would rather to wait until GoPro Hero 4 comes out.

plus - Contour has unreliable business history. it was temporarily out of business a while ago.

I didn't noticed about 3 and 3+. Anything, I can't find GoPro 3+ vs Contour +2 then.
 
I could do that, but I have plenty of practice tightening stuff, and plus, I doubt I would be looking for one that sticks up in the air, anyhow-- I'm thinking something along the lines of being screwed/bolted down, and hard to lose. Something like that.

Research first before you said. :)

I don't mind and Contour +2 with GPS last 2:30 minutes. GoPro 3's battery list like 2.5 hours. Not much difference

Also bluetooth is better than Wifi for low energy and save battery life.

research? how about this.... I have GoPro Hero3, GoPro Hero3+, and Contour :)

Contour sucks. GPS? who cares? useless feature. if you really want it - then connect GoPro to iPhone. GoPro does use both wifi and bluetooth. Contour is cheaper because it sucks and it's gonna go out of business again.

perhaps you should do research more carefully and look beyond the price tag. remember this old rule... you get what you pay for.

Then why you complained about contour got bad battery life for GPS? Funny thing, Contour don't have GPS at all. Just +2 and Contour GPS.

GoPro 3+ doesnt have bluetooth. Just wifi and Contour is old. Care to explain why it's "suck" Don't you see the video I posted here. Contour +2 is pretty clear than Hero 3 even Hero 3 is high price than Contour +2. "You get what you pay for." is very old rules and not always right. Like torque wrench from Sears for $100 and it's broke in few weeks and torque wrench from HF for $40 and works GREAT for over two years. Also M$ Windows 8.1 license cost like $119 and Apple OS X Mavericks is free. Not everything about price. It's research and customers reviews first.


Contour +2 got GREAT research and great customers reviews. Hard to believe it's suck. GPS info is pretty cool and not many cameras have one.

Don't really care about "went out of business" or not and don't mean contour will stop works. GM got bankruptcy then back to business again.

up to you. go ahead and get a Contour then. btw - it's "choice", not choose.

just know that altimeter, GPS, etc.... completely completely completely useless. it's inaccurate as well. like I said - you get what you pay for and it's your money... go ahead and buy whatever you want. and... I told you... Hero3 is outdated already last year.... it's 3+ now and it's much better. btw - you're right that Hero3+ doesn't have bluetooth. I thought it connects to my remote via bluetooth but nope... it's wifi.
 
anyway - what are you going to use Contour mostly for? why do you need GPS, altimeter, etc?
