What can you hear and do with your implant?

Just interested to see what you can hear etc.

I can hear:

1. birds singing
2. my name being called across the room
3. music
4. rain
5. leaves crunching underneath my feet
6. crickets
7. Tigger's collar jingling
8. microwave beeping
9. a vehicle's turn signal
10. whispers

I could go on, but that will do for now. :)

I am still unable to hear whispers. My least favourite sound is car horns beeping, they make me jump like if there has been no traffic on the road for a bit
I hear:

People talking,
dogs barking
rain
tv
birds singing
ambulance and police sirens(i can tell the difference between them)
telephone ringing(still wont answer it)
etc...

I can hear

Boris the dog tags,
Misty the cat bird bells on her collar.
Car/lorry (can tell the differnce) passing by 30 ft outside my house
Tell the difference between types of bird singing (ci moment this morning :)) Got Magpie and blue tits.
My dog walking through leaves,
Boris stratching himself,
Clock ticking,
boiler going on
Kettle boiled click
washing machine click (i was 20 ft away and watching Tv at same time)
Computer - surfing the webpages clicks
Microwave sounds...

I could go on....

Same with me, I could go on and on...but...

When I was first activated, I could tell that the map was a little too strong as I could hear my cat poop. I hear her scratch the litter, then *plop*, then scratch the litter..so yeah...that was across the room. Since then, it is a little more quieter map. :-D

Whoa... TMI!

Must have been annoying when you could hear everything? ;)

Yes it was....yes it was. On another hand, it was interesting to hear someone in the next stall to unwrap the sanitary napkins, ripping off the old one. I had to really stifle my laughter...then I think about all those times that I had to do the same. Damn, the world is loud. Now, it's not so sensitive as I got the highs reduced.
