I believe I've made a thread about Cued Speech some years ago, but...not sure where to find it lol so anyway, I'm sure we have more new members coming in ever since I've registered. Anyway, I wonder how many of you out there knows Cued Speech? Even though I grew up with it before I learned sign language when I was about 12 years old, and still learn it but of course I guess it seems that I know three languages : English, Cued Speech, and Sign Language lol.

More of a tool. I only knew of one person... no two people who used cued speech. One was a teen when I first met her online and if I remember she knew both Cued speech and ASL. The other was the mother of a 2 year old son. He did have hearing aids and was learning cued speech... no idea where he is now or how he's doing. Lost contact with both more than 15 years ago...:(.

I find cued speech to be a good communication tool especially when it comes to academics while sign language is a good communication tool for quick conversations.
