I have a coworker who just went to get her hearing tested and was reffered to an ENT. She has complained of fluid in her ear and now that has been confirmed, she say she has had it for years. I want to help and was wondering what could cause such an ongoing problem?
 
After several surgeries, I still have fluid draining from my ears along with pain.

I do not let any water into my ears. It's a good question, as all the doctors I've seen have not been able to stop it with antibotics and drops, even surgery.

I will see another ENT next month...have my ears drained and most likely another round of antibotics and new ear drops.

Wish ur co-worker luck!...Keep me informed on this pls.....as they will be no more surgeries for me (per the doctors), so the drainage and pain continues...
 
I have had chronic fluid build up in one of my ears for years. I have had a tube in the ear for a number of years. They have no idea why.
