A U.K. man convicted of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl reportedly had his testicles removed while in prison.

Reports say that 24-year-old Paul Catterall was sentenced to seven years and eight months behind bars for the sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl that occurred in July 2014. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the 24-year-old was previously convicted of a sexual attack back in 2009.

In this recent case, Catterall reportedly got high on cocaine, met the young victim, and walked with her across town. Catterall initially said that the two shared a mutual kiss, but he later admitted to lying about that. In actuality, Catterall had attempted to kiss the teen, but when she backed away, he reportedly grabbed her hair and sexually assaulted her.

During court proceedings, Judge Timothy Stead heard from Catterall’s legal team that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer while in prison for the sexual assault and had to have his testicles removed as a result.

Still, despite his health issues, Stead sentenced him to more than seven years behind bars.

“It’s apt that he did this, and has now had his testicles removed,” a friend of the victim said, according to Metro UK. “He is a brute and a monster.”

Its misleading...you have to read to the end of the article to find his testies were removed medicaly due to cancer.
Why is this even news?
So a con got testie cancer and had his balls removed medicaly...cool
And why is the woman.refered to as a girl...shes an adult and 18. And what exactly was the nature of the sexual assault or as the title says sex attack?
7 years...i assume he raped her...but all the article says is he went to kkss her and she backed away and he assulted her..

He raped her...and also has another rape conviction back in 2009...so he's a predator and a rapist...He said "he attempted to kiss her"...but then said he lied about that, so it was an "attack"....

As for having his testicles removed...all I can say is Karma is a Bitch....but the tax payers paid for it, no doubt. Would have been even better if his whole autonomy were removed.
 
Well, now he would be a perfect Darwin candidate if the opportunity arises for him after he gets out of prison. Alligator swimming, anyone?

I understtand that. But the tittle to me snyway made is seem that his balls.were removed due to raping her or as it says sex attacker...
So i assumed it was other cons who did it...

Besides, it's in the UK. Most of the healthcare that people get is paid by the state regardless of who you are.
 
I was sort of hoping he was castrated w/o anesthesia by his fellow inmates.
That would be nice :)

yep and it piss's us off joe public go on waiting list see doc..i was in hospital few years ago and scum bag from prision who raped his little daughter was put in side ward had tv provided plus a two prison warders so go have ciggie.
to my mind he got natural justice I hope he was not given replacement balls or hormone threaphy

Good point. It's not the state's money; it's the taxpayers' money.
 
they get tv which other patients have pay if they want one room of their own with on suite...if someone cuffed to a cop he /she seen first in A&E rest of us wait for hours and that's a cop taken off duty..It really unfair
