Hi, I'm considering on moving over to Masschuett (I'll have to spell it right evenutally so pardon me.) for a new start and start my education soon around wintertime. I'd like some help, I've been doing a little researching on which colleges out in MA that actually has Deaf Service to the Deaf students such as well routined of providing of interpreters. Some pointers would help.
Plus, I'd like to meet some new people from the Boston area and maybe pick up some tour from any of you MA people.

Any better ideas or good suggestion?

I'm not sure about the quality of 'terps at Bristol Community College,(in Fall River) but they have a really good C-Print program. They do have a Deaf Studies program. Not sure how many dhh students there are, as it's been a couple of years since I went there. I would not reccomend Westfield State. I love it here, but the quality of the disabilty support program is mainly geared towards LD students. Don't know about other state colleges or community colleges. UMass Dartmouth is supposed to be really good....the academic programs are wonderful, challenging etc, and the disabilty support is pretty good. Only thing is, is that the campus is UGLY! (it looks like something out of 1984) and for me it's too close to home.

Yeah, I looked it up and it doesn't have all the criminal justice studies, yeah the college seems small. Thanks for the recommendations. Yeah, I know finding a college with good deaf student support service is hard. Seattle Comm. College seem to be the best one out of Western Washington community colleges. Out there is mainly hard to find one. when you went there, were there some deaf events like get together, someplace where I can meet deafies around?

Boston University looks so good to me. Looks like the admission is difficult but it's a really nice university. It got the best Deaf Studies Program. Wow. Yesh, Northeastern looks good but it's expensive...well gotta do more research on those colleges while I finish my AA degree. Thanks for the options! Hope I do really good to get in BU if that'd be the option. :)

Northren Essex Community college is in the suburbs of Boston and is where the Gally University Regional Center is located

UMASS has lots of campuses. And there are tons of Community colleges in different regions of the state. Because I am from the Fall River Area, BCC comes to mind.

My brother goes to Northeastern - they offer a lot of scholarships....

I think that the regional center for Gallaudet University is located in Haverhill, Mass - may be worthwhile to get in touch with them....
