Hair solons have always been my house of horror. I am still looking! I like to be included in the conversation and the scuttlebutt while I am in the chair. Our money is just as good as hearing people's money! Probably the problem is when deafies have to use pen and paper to describe what kind of a cut they want, their English goes lacking, so they do not get what they want.
I have had two different DEAF hair stylists and we had a ball, and who cares if the hearies wondered what we were laughing at? I have been in the same situation for so many years, let them get a taste of it.
I admire this woman very much who has this solon and makes deafies feel welcome. It is about time. There should be one of these in every city!
