Cochlear implants do work!!

Ive never doubted CIs work in the majority of profoundly deaf people. As long as CI is being implanted in those who get no benefit from HAs and have virtually no residual hearing, your odds are good. However, CIs aren't for me for many reasons, including the fact im waiting for something better.
 
I've also never doubted that CIs work, especially for those who need them.

And, like deafdude1 there are reasons why I'm not going for a CI. It's just not for me.

For those that meet the requirements for Cochlear implantation AND hearing aids provide absolutely no benefit, I say go for it. :)
