Hi,
I have a Gr. 2 student who had cochlear implant 5 years ago and is now wearing an FM system. English is not his first language and he has language delays. He sees a Speech and Language therapist once a week for auditory verbal therapy.
I would appreciate any suggestions for teaching tips and resources to use with him.
Have you had success with Earobics, Fastforword, or Lindamood Bell?
I know that I have to develop his language first before any reading instruction would make sense. Any website or books about ESL basic language curriculum or what he needs to learn first?
Sorry for posting so many questions! I am just really anxious to help this nice little fellow and it's obviously my first time to have a student who had CI.
Thanks all!
