I don't see the problem.  If there was an ASL stall at a CI expo on the other hand I would say "good for them for seeking to broaden peoples' minds!".  CIs and ASL don't have to be mutually exclusive do they?  As I understand it there are a growing number of ASL users who also have CIs.
