Do you like how cochlear corp's cochlear implant are now? for example, freedom and 3g or do you hate them and wished they would change?

I think they should change some parts of it, make it more lighter on the ear, more colours available on the implant and make it slimmer. What do you all think?

I only just started wearing mine around the house to get use to. It is a little heavier due to the battery rack but nothing troublesome.

A slimmer model and a remote option will be available for the next model in the near future.

A remote option, that's weird

It'll be great having a slimmer one

No, the remote operation actually makes sense. I know of a recent implantee who got Med-El which provides one of those. He showed me the device and how it worked. I will tell you that I can see definite uses for it and nobody is the wiser that you made "adjustments" to the environment to hear better. With Cochlear, (on rare occasions besides changing the pgms) I have to actually put my hand to the BTE and adjust it and sometimes you have to take it off to see the "screen" to see the settings.

As for my Cochlear device, I absolutely love the thing. No real complaints.

A couple of improvements though...
1) Smaller or slimmer.
2) Better battery life
3) Cheaper microphone covers
4) Better engineered transmitter coil. Meaning if the wire breaks, just replace the wire component instead of having to buy a whole new one for ~ $200!
