Clarke School Advertisement:

I went to The Learning Center for the Deaf which is ASL, total communication and Clarke school is primarily oral although they do use some ASL to some extent, in the old days ASL was not permitted at all, Deaf students had to be 100 % oral. I amnot sure where Clarke school is but I am sure it was close by somewhere else I think probably 20 miles away from The Learning Center for the Deaf. It has been 10 years since I have been to TLC school f/t Deaf.
 
Actually no.........Clarke is in Western MA, near where I went to college.
 
Right it is in Northampton. THat was my old school!!! I went there for 4 years and I FED UP!!
 
OH GOD! I don't see that sign as Clarke is insult. I agreed with that sign because all we do is TALK and CANNOT signs! (we sneaked to use signs in our rooms)
 
I remember being in Northampton !!!!! They have an excellent pizza shop, very small one right next to some theatre and across the street is the resturant for people who are vegeterian lovers. The town of Northampton is very liberal, I had been there 10 years ago for what I don't remember but I think it was a school field trip with TLC. I know for sure I never visited Clarke school though.
 
It is NEAT town. I really miss it there. I would go and pay a visit soon I hope. Maybe in October or November. I dunno yet. And grab visit my old friends. And Clarke as well. I know Clarke had changed SO much since I left in 1990.

I graduated from TLC in 1996 then stopped to visit a few times in Boston then never went back. I might visit the 20th high school anniversary reunion. Don't know yet, will see. I have a uncle who is a cop in Boston.
 
May I ask? What does TLC stands for?

I miss Northampton. I love going in the shops and look around. My favorite store was "FACE". I think it is still there but not quite sure. And also there's a great Mexican resturant as well. Also frozen yougrt shop. YUM. I miss those time! I don't remember pizza. Do you remember name of it?

Was it "PIG"? I can't remember since it has been 16 years.

TLC means The Learning Center for the Deaf in Framingham, MA I think about 20 mintunes away from Boston.

I am not sure of the pizza shop but they had all kinds of pizza chicken, vegetable, etc but they had a narrow seating arrangement and people walked in and out to order pizza through the window of the pizza in the store much like you would do in a bakery store and next door was a theatre of some kind.
 
Ahhh I got it. It may be new after I left in 1990. I may go back and visit! And go shopping at Faces! My favorite store! :)

Oh ok alright I see. I hope you enjoy it there. I don't remember much else from Northampton as I had been there for a one day trip a long time ago in school.
 
Yeah I was in Northampton from Sept to June then off for summer for 4 years.
