Nothing in the OP's post indicates that she or they "have an issue with deafness" or requests a public soul searching by strangers.  There's no offense to be taken by someone wondering what the odds are of having deaf/hoh children (or whether or not my children will have brown eyes or blue, be tall or short).  Maybe she wants to plan whether or not to begin learning ASL, to move near a great school for deaf/hoh kids, to save up for HAs. Or maybe she's just curious.
