FLINT, MI -- Quota International of Flint, a nonprofit organization, is hosting its annual chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.
Quota's mission, according to its website, is "to provide services and support for disadvantaged women and children, and the deaf and hard of hearing in Genesee County."
All proceeds from this event will benefit locals in need.
In the past, money from events such as the Chicken Dinner have helped provide funds for programs or groups such as the Special Olympics, Flint Public Library, Big Brothers and Big Sisters after school programs, Boys and Girls Club and a number of scholarships for local children.
The dinner will be held at the Masonic Temple at 755 S. Saginaw St in Flint.
The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children. Children 3 and under may eat for free. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling Pam Nelson at 810-624-4075.
