. . . Annie Hall, 64, was minding her own business when the bird deposited a pouch on Church Street, in Liverpool.

‘I am absolutely terrified of birds and the next thing there was a huge seagull flying towards me and with that it dropped something – it almost dropped at my feet. It was just extraordinary,’ she told the Liverpool Echo.

‘I had a closer look and it was a little pouch. I looked in and there were a lot of credit cards, a driving licence and two £20 notes folded up – they belonged to an American lady.’

We’re hoping the bird didn’t devour the poor American lady, with her credentials being the only thing that was left.

What’s more likely is the pesky seagull stole the pouch from her.
This is what we know:

She’s 46, from South Carolina and she was probably staying at the Hilton Hotel because the pouch held an entry card from there.
Ms Hall gave the purse to police who are now trying to locate the owner.

That is amazing ! It's as if the bird knew the pouch belong to someone and was trying to get it back to them.

 reminds me of the time a sea gull stole the whole of my untouched submarine sandwich...I mean it was one of those foot long ones!! I had put it down on the table I was sitting at and got up to get some napkins. I saw the whole scenario...I even had time enough to have the sandwich shop employee alerted! To boot, my family were sitting around that table, all within three feet of this sandwich! It was an amazing, funny and dramatic experience. Those birds are aggressive!

My granddaughter had a seagull steal sandwich right from her hands when she was a little girl . My dad was once cleaning some fish off on the dock and he was laying them down behind him and a seagull was having a party eating the fish in one bite.
