In order for you to know the difference, you must learn the difference between Catholics and all other christian beliefs. Because they set their standard based on their beliefs in their school. For example, a fundamental independent baptist believe in modesty in clothing so girls in fundamental baptist private school are not allow to wear pants. Another example is that while they teach science (yes, even evolution) , but they teach it from a young creation viewpoints.

College prep private school, believe or not, is similar to public school but smaller and alittle strict. I know because our son been going to one since preschool. And I, myself, been to public school all my life.

The education is on a higher level for the most part to prepare students for college. Its bit more challenging than public school academics.

It depends on the school. There's a wide range of standards and practices amongst private secular, Catholic, and Christian schools. If you're serious about it, you have to investigate the specific schools individually. There is no simple, one-size-fits-all answer.

Dress code, but not necessarily strict. My son's deaf school was a Catholic school. They could wear khakis, polo shirts in white, navy or green, sweatshirts in white, navy or green, khaki shorts in the warm weather, and the girls could also wear a plaid skirt in those colors if they wanted. On Friday, they could wear jeans.

I found it a lot easier than playing fashion police every morning.:giggle:
