I am in a class taking deaf history and culture. I have an assignment to find a support group, blog, club, or group of some kind for oral deaf persons.
I have found, and joined a few online resources and I am really enjoying communicating with individuals in the deaf community. My best friend (whom is also deaf) is trying to teach me sign language so I can also communicate with others in person. If anybody can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it! Oral deaf as in orally skilled, or oral only? There's a difference you know. The gross majority of dhh kids do have oral skills, and sign.....but oral only don't sign.
