California Teacher Tenure Law Unconstitutional

It's not like they are saying the teachers union is invalid, I don't think this will change the status. I'm sure bad teachers will still be on the job, perhaps in other locations.
 
It will be not long time for teacher union to become extinct.
 
States are running out of funding to fund the public school so they have no choice, but gut the union power and new teachers will receive lowest pay and lousy benefits to save money.

Some states, especially Wisconsin killed the collective bargaining so more states, even liberal may follow eventually.
 
I think its good its taken off as long as the scky teachers are the once getting kicked out not the good once...

I do see your point on the cost issue. Fundamentally, it not in the best interest of the union to not work with the school/company. Look at what happened to Twinkies. It's not in the unions best interest to have their workers out of work. At least, that is the sensible rational.

In my view, they just need to settle the hiring and firing issue, which is not working.

I won't argue that unions are not crooked, but nobody can make that argument about government or companies either.
