Before rabid anti-Obamanites gets a chance to criticize, remember this:

Bush is leaving this country with:

credit crisis
banking collapse
unstability in stocks
high oil price
recession
Iraq war
failure to capture bin Laden
deficit in trillions
high unemployment rate
lowest presidential approval

Don't dare to criticize Obama if there are more troubles ahead. It's ALL because of Bush, not Obama. It takes at least a year to recover and build.

I have hope that he will. However, it *will* take time. As Obama himself pointed out, it may take a year or it may take 4 years or longer. We just don't know.

One thing I do know is that expectations for Obama will be set extremely high given the amount of change Americans want as well as the current state of our country. I have a feeling *alot* of Americans are going to be complaining about Obama after his first year in office if he doesn't meet their lofty expectations.

Do you think we will have WW III durin' Obama's presidency ? :)

Not saying that Bush was good or bad for us. HE did not cause fall of stock and wall street crisis. The money hungry corporations get over their heads with years of inappropriate lending monies to people, and when WE the american public don't pay our house bills, all the biggest businesses with all the money collapse, merge, etc and stock values are affected. If anybody knows stock market projectioning capability know that it is inevitably coming.

I feel he is responsable in regards to having this role in recession- cost of war....but do we all really ever get to realize what the cost of NO war could be??? I don't know if there is a right way to handle diplomacy with so many POV firing off toward you.

Winners and losers aside, we were free to vote last night, what a fabulous and very rare privilege we have! Everybody who voted- awesome! I commend you for having the values and even hope to believe in democacy and the freedoms we have.

I sympathize with anybody who is adversely effected by decisions of any leader. I will never ever cease to be grateful for freedom though. In all of humanity through histories, imagine all the non democratic societies who had no say their values and beliefs. Those who get punished for even voicing an opinion whether right or wrong, how sad, how terrible, how unfortunate. Even if somethings are not all well.....I encourage EVERYONE to step back and think of a couple things you are grateful for which democracy has brought to you.

I do not wish to discourse or rebuke any one person in ANY way, but encourage everyone to have one common opinion for a minute.... FREEDOM IS A PRETTY COOL THING

-I love you all, God Bless America

All financial woes were forseen in the Clinton administration, no body (Republican or Democrat) did anything about it. Clinton could have had Bin Laden. Oil last time I checked is at $68 a barrel, that compared to +$150 a few months back. The Iraq war is debatable. Pinning everything on Bush is like trying to pin the cold war on Carter. Both parties were at fault. Clinton is on record stating the financial woes and housing collapse could have been avoided had congressional democrats not block legislation he republicans wanted that would have pulled in the reigns on Freddie and Fanny.

You don't get, do you?

Good question, we won't know til he's in the White House next year. With anyone running our country its not an easy job to please everyone. There is going to be some disagreements along the line during Obama's presidency. We won't know until matter of months.

Yes, we did have the freedom to vote good posting:)

Tell you what- if I see him enact policies that I believe only make things worse, then I'll go ahead and dare to criticize him for it. And if you see a problem in my analysis, you may dare to criticize it. I'll try to be fair to the guy, but no president is beyond criticism.

It's ALL because of Bush, not Obama. It takes at least a year to recover and build.
All of it? The president is that powerful? How about Barney Frank? Chris Dodd?

Very GOOD reminder for all of us, especially anti-Obama. We have to keep in mind how much did Bush bring to us. That's the best reminder.

Funny thing that Obama is not yet in the White House until January 20th. Now, I see the word, "Anti-Obama." Obama hasn't started his presidency yet.

Oh boy, I wanted to tell those to GET REAL.

Yes, Netrox - I agree with you, there is SO MUCH to do. I mean, a lot of cleaning up the shits Bush left behind. Remember J.F. Kennedy quoted? VOLUNTEER and help Obama to the jobs done! If Obama works alone, nothing will be done. HELP OBAMA and we will get best effective results!

Exactly. Not everyone will be pleased about everything Obama does. That's unrealistic. After all, as the saying goes, "You can't please everyone all of the time."

Don't forget Congress.
