Bring PETS for Oversea trip?

Anyone have that kind of experience for bring pets from USA to somewhere like Europe, Asia, and somewhere like oversea?

Make me wonder if pets get full of drugs to make them feel high and mellow to make them forgot they are traveling. After they get arrive safety. How's pets' reach?

I never have that kind of experience myself. What if I happen move to France in the future. I cannot abandon my pets in USA. Too easily for me having hearbroken if I leave my pets in USA too long. Really appericate if u happen to leave posts here. Thanks!

i would feel so BAD for the pet being stuck in the crate going overseas and the pet would be VERY confused :( id prefer to have a flight that accepts owners to CARRY their own pets overseas with them on the flight -- and obviously its not allowed unless its a service animal
 
If you bring a pet overseas, you will not be able to see it for a while. They do not allow you to bring pets to other countries. If you move to other country, then they will quarantine your pet for like 6 months to 1 year before releasing to you in that country. Sometimes it would not be worth to bring your pets with you, better to just leave it behind.

:shock: :tears: NOOOO i would NEVER dream of leaving my babies behind (my 2 cats)!!!!!! no way! :cry:
 
Oh nooo that is something very worst than i thought. animals are so innocent even pets keep me company. thanks for that link.

What about people bring pets to USA from other country? same thing or what?? I just wonder.
 
USA also has restrictions for animals from other countries.
Do you think it is okay to leave your pet in some quarantine for 6 months and not see it, then finally get it after 6 months? Sometimes it's just not fair to do that to your pets, I think. My friend moved to Australia, and found out there is a quarantine for like one year, so she was like nooooo she is not bringing her dog to Australia. So she left it with her family. Sometimes the realities of life can be hard to accept.

I have seen many pets and extoic pets.. were stuffed with drugs ..
up in their anal.. or force fed them.. :(

I think its about 10 years ago .. It happened to a drugged dog in MSP airport.. Narc cops busted the dealers.. how it happen.. One of Cargo employer saw the Russian sheperd (Huge dog).. came in with Cage.. really sick.. have foams in mouth.. and breathing rapidly and bloated.. so the employer called Vet to come and check (the policy for pets if they are sick-airports are responsible to pay-if they have documents that health begin dog before go to airport).. anyways.. Vet checked the dog and took blood test.. found out its highly dosage of toxin and drug.. so the vet told employer to call secuirties and feds cops to revieve the dog and rushed him to vet.. and they kept it condifental-- pretend that dog is missing. Vet took x-ray.. and they dropped jaws to floor that dog was stuffed with herion and cocaine.. over 100 bags (came with condoms).. they have no choice make him throw up or go poop since dog is real sick and wanted to save his life.. so they had to cut him open and took out all those bags.. and treated him back to health.. the one of airports fed cop fell in love with dog and named him "Miracle".. after the dog got better.. (within little over 1 week) while the dog in vet.. the feds were watching at the log area to recieve their large baggages in area.. no one came forward about this dog till they decided to post "found Russia Sheperd" shipped from .. other country.. 2 dealers came forward to recieve the dog.. but... the dog remembered them, he jumped out and gave both good bites.. I dont blame that dog after he went thru so much trauma... :(
So, the feds cop adopted the dog and trained him as drug sniffer dog.. he was doing great! happy ending :)

But see, people dont give a flying f**k about the pets.. they used them cuz they dont speak or tell.. but they forget.. they do!! :)

Yes.. and no.. some people dont give them drug to mellow out or make them sleep.. but you can.. its your choices. :)

For me.. I would put them sleep and mellow out to less the stress..

:shock: OMFG!!!!!!! poor dog!!!!!! makes me want to BEAT the shit out of the owners who did that to the dog!!!!! im just so grateful the federal officer took custody of the dog and is now a drug sniffing dog and is now healthy and in good care! good lord -- makes me want to do some serious shit to the owners who are so cruel to the animals!!!! :o
 
You may want to get "pet passport" - microchip hidden under the skin of animals as a proof of vaccination against rabies and stuff. With this, you can travel freely with your pet anywhere in EP (European Parliament) dominated countries. I don't know about other countries not affiliated with EP, though. I do understand USA is considered to be a rabies afflicted country, but Norway and other scandinvanian nations are rabies free countries so it's harder to visit these countries (probably easier with Sweden) with your pets when you are coming from a rabies infested country like USA. It's easier if your country has been declared rabies free or other stuff like that!

It doesn't hurt to check with the most current and official info with the country you plan on visiting with your pet........ contact the right people to find out what you need to do, and I think you just get your pet checked out by vet before the trip and the vet will approve.. then insert chip under the skin complete with visa or passport or document for pet. Haha!

Yes, I heard the horrible story about that dog carry illegal drugs inside the body. No wonder, most airports have more restrictions over pets after what happened. Thanks for sharing the story here. I know that is off-topic but still interesteed to know.
