Yeah... That does represent a problem... I tried to find local deafies who have the same interests as I do (speaking of books) but seem that many deafies really don't like to read the books beside required by college or school. That is really sad...
Meg, I am an admire of Germany/French/British/Japanese literature as well... actually mostly Germany (example: Hans Henny Jahnn's works). I am a passionately fan of Ernest Hemingway's works (fav: The Old Man and The Sea & Farewell To Arms). Classic books are unfortunately underestimated and undervalued by both deafies and hearies.
Curious what kind of classic books do you recommend? I'd like to know about yours and would like to pick these up for myself to read. Cheers.
