It is time to confess that I am a book addict. I got over 2,500 books in my collection so I have too many to have just one favorite.
Right now, I am reading this amazing book "A Bookseller in Kabul", a memoir of a true life Kabul bookstore owner who struggled through 1970s to now with various reigmes such as Communists, Taliban, etc. Taliban was the worst - burning everything except Islamic readings. He had to smuggle other books into other parts of Kabul to avoid getting in trouble.
This book reminds me of " Reading Lolita in Tehran ", another powerful book.
I got a new book last night and it is about a family in Paraguay so I can t wait to read it. I am fascinated with social issues in other countries.
