No its not Holloween, just dropping in after an absence.
Been working on finishing small minor stuff with the house getting it ready to market in March before my second cochlear surgery.
I am listing for around 80, pay off the balance and buy a Ranch for around 40 so I have a nice savings put away.
I am tired, not working on anything anymore, time to kick back and relax with my son, hunt and fish and cut grass for hours if this all pans out as planned. I dont want any neighbors or anyone close enough to see lol.
And all those ive asked for help over the years that didnt lift a finger, well they better not bother to think to ask me for any help either, because Ill make their ears bleed...lmao
Anyways, time for me to relax. I stopped at the library to hop on the net since I dont have it at home and the phone is hard to read and reply, so Ill drop in once in awhile....Im moving to the Wild, wide open spaces!!!

:wave:Hey, good luck, Sono, I'll miss the pictures and posts about your house projects but sounds so peaceful, I can picture you having a great time!

If you get bored, maybe you can look for Jeramy P. :o :D
well, if I get lost and end up on another contenent...lmao

But i will still be around posting and throwing pictures here and there as usual, just not as often, as I shut down my internet and everything else to save costs until I sell and move. Got a few places lined up and a good agent working with me ( a friend of a friend) so he is doing all the leg work for me so I dont have to deal with phone calls. Found a few nice places very affordable and hoping to sell fast so I dont miss out on the few Ive found so far, BUT there are always more popping up...
I dont mind painting but i dont want another project. Ive downsized so I dont have much to move so, starting over from scratch.

go out of your way show the ones who no help what you be doing nice see there face hit the ground

When you do find a new place, some pictures would be nice. :)

You can't buy a house for 80 in my city unless it has no roof and it on it on a RR track ! :giggle: Some woman from the south could not believe how much
houses cost in my city . She saw my condo and said she could buy a house
for that much $$ in South Carolina .

There will be, I may even post the listings, most Ive found are between 40 and 60, did find a couple at 25, which is twisting my arm hard, no construction work needed just all cosmetic, debating if i want to mess with it, yes it will save me 20 to 40K's but the locations are a little further than I want also, but not a deal breaker. Theres a bungalo in the city not far from my parents and where I used to own my first house, but the area has declinded over the years, still a nice quiet street but all around it is a mess, its nice but I want to stay out of the city. I am really enjoying the country life and plan to stay out this way. Thought of another state, but I dont want to be far from my son.
I will post some pics soon

well alot of people say you couldnt buy the grass in their area for the $5000 I got my house for either...lol

My favorite house is a 4 bed ranch on 10 acres for $40K, but there is a 3 bed on 4 acres for $25K needing some cosmetic work, I opt for the 10 acres and no work over the little piddly crap on the cheaper, although I save some I lose some as well...

Finally my agent got through to the legal department of my broker to get this thing rolling, so, should be getting some momentum going now....

Wishing you all the best that. I can't believe the low price of real estate in your area. You can't buy a toothpick in Maine for $40K. You'd have to put a 1 in front of the 4 around here if you were going to buy the same thing.

My ex husband said he always wanted a log cabin so I told him to start saving his popsicles sticks ! :laugh2: I had friend that lived in OK and I went to visit him and he had about 3 acres land he paid only $500 a year for taxes . I should move there but it's way too hot in the summer.

well, found a nice chunk of land (20 acres) for $25K.... if I can get a well dug, foundation installed and a modular or log house built for the price I sell my house at I just might jump on it??? Theres no restrictions, can be hunted and is very secluded, level land with a running spring year round, mostly wooded, so would be a very relaxing spot to live. Its fairly close as well. I have downsized, selling everything I dont want or need, I think I have maybe 2 or 3 pickup loads and Im gone...lol
