Hello everyone!!
I have been reading this board and find it pretty interesting.
My name is Kevin P.
I am deaf 30 years old ( just turned 30 on 13th of Decemember) living in South Florida in Fort Lauderdale. Working full time as leader hotel reservation dept (it's office handling multi contracts with travel agency that their guest book in our resort in Paradise Island.
I used to hang out with deaf people in Gainesville but somewhat I got in trouble several of times with them so I thought I better vanish to another State which was California and lived there and didn't like it and my grandmother was very illness so I decided to move back in centeral Florida to help her. Until I found my lover here in Fort Lauderdale so I moved down here and we have been together for 4 1/2 years and no he is not deaf. He is hearing. I have not met any deaf people lately so I wanted to meet new people and get know them and talk about general thing.
I notice that many deaf people do not have Ojo (Snap!VRS) Why not?? I just got mine couple of days ago and yes I had to wait 4 or 5 month but hey it was worth it. It's very nice and easy to use. All you need was modem cable which you use your computer with. I am using one for work right now, it is very helpful than tty.... For example I make call to Snapvrs to one of our client and working on computer at same time. It's much quicker than tty. I do know the other one that is box that sitting on top of tv which is too much hassle for my work cuz i cannot have tv sitting on my desk LOL otherwise I will be watching shows instead of working
Many says that Ojo cannot make calls to other VP which is not true. They can all they need to do is dial the IP number. I suggest everyone get ojo instead. Very friendly customer service too, easy access, quick service, impressive look, can be place on any surface, and it's newest tech!
Anyway if anyone want to chat with me on vp let me know
Kevin.
