There will be a significant snowstorm entering the Commonwealth on
Friday, and another possible significant storm on Sunday.

For Friday the snow will move across the State from West to East beginning around 9 AM in the West and entering Boston around midday. This storm will drop 8 to 14 inches of snow. The heaviest snow will fall between the hours of 1 PM to 7 PM at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Worcester County and West
is looking towards 12 to 14 inches, East of Worcester 10 to 12 inches,
the South East to include the Cape could get 8 to 10, the Island looks
to get more Freezing rain. The winds will be gusting from the North East from 30 to 40 mph. Minor Coastal flooding in the form of splash over is expected. It is advised that people do not travel in this storm.

Use public transportation where possible, do not travel at the height of thestorm. Sunday another significant storm is expected looking at another 6 plus inches of snow. Further details will follow as more information becomes available on this storm.

I am already hating it!!! I cannot wait and probably move back to California in 2010? :P

That's terrible!! (the news about the blizzard, not you moving back to CA.) I can't wait to move to MS in 2010. I'm sick of the ice we get here near St. Louis.

I think we are having this weather system in Iowa tomorrow and it then comes to you while getting worse.

we got dumped on a bit last nite as well as some tonight and on thru friday i beleive...woohoo....i hate snow..lol plus we cant use public transpo as they are on strike...what a time eh when ppl can't even walk since it's too damn cold...thank god i drive and have a car

let me join in on the "i hate winter" club. lol. we just had a snowstorm last night and are expecting more snow thursday night, friday, saturday and sunday.

now do you see why i'm moving to az. next year? (i'd move sooner if it weren't for school.)

<counting down the days. :cool2:>

Geez dont we have enough problem with the storm. Last year there was too much snowstorm and now this. It is time to slow a bit down and let us recover from the ice storm. Dang mother nature.

Let's us bracing for the bad weather! I pray it will not! (I have ice on my driveway. Even my car! I was supposed to go to work today. My boss called and said I don't need to come to work this evening. Whew!) :Ohno:

I went driving in the snow to get to work early for a meeting. Then I could get out early and get glue in a store before closing, so now I am gluing tied ribbons to rejected light filters and putting them onto my tree despite the snow.

No forecast for snow down this way, thank goodness. I mean I like the snow and all, but if there's not enough to shut down the federal government (means no work, y'all), I don't want any.

We are having the winter storm here too, it's nice to watch, but not when entering the winter from inside..

I did mention in another thread that I have a lot of snow like blizzards or snowstorms almost every day since middle of November. As for Byrdie, it is still Fall, not Winter yet. The first day of Winter is this weekend on Sunday December 21. I know it is wintry weather with all the blizzards and snowstorms plus one day of rain all day and all night on Sunday, December 14th and then back to snow on Monday, December 15th. Yuk. I would certainly like to go and stay in New Mexico myself away from all this everyday snowstorms. It is like as if we have snow machine somewhere in the sky that won't stop and let us have a break from constant snow. Weird.

Making snowball is fun thing to do, and invite your friends to build the snowball war. There's so many fun things to do during the snow time, why people hate it, oh because they don't know how to have fun?

eww i hate snow..we are supposedly getting dumped on on sunday....my bfs dad was like oo its cold in florida! iwas like what!? wats the temp (they have a condo their-he is going friday) and he was like only 87 i was like u stink! lol
